I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

I was astonished to find that out myself. For some reason I pictured Like 15-20 people. Maybe its from those pics we use to get on lodestone of the old dev team idk.

I'm impressed that it is that many. This game is very much in development, and they are looking to actually make it a proper Final Fantasy,
I for one can't wait.

A good portion have probably been working on the new programming. The did say that they have the new server system up and running in house with working delivery, social system, search etc.
I only saw 2 on the video, and assumed under them were a team of 5 and 5, but 250?! Now I think we can see what they have been working on though![]()
I've been saying this since December. What we're seeing =/= what they're working on.

I think it's amazing and so awesome that there are so many people working on this game. It just goes to show that SE has what it takes to revamp their disaster! They seem to truly care that the game didn't (and obviously it shouldn't have) live up to the expectations of their loyal fans. But they're willing to actually do something about it and for that I am a true SE fangirl as of today, haha.
I can't wait to see what Version 2.0 brings to the table and a year will fly past before anyone even realizes it.
And hopefully when people read that 250 people were working on this game, they realized why SE wants to start charging. That is a lot of developers and such to pay, along with server costs and all the above. It was only a matter of time until the boxed sales money ran out and after reading all of their intended changes today, $12-15 a month seems like a great price to help fund this awesome development.
Cheers & hats off to them, I can't wait for 2.0!
250 people working on one game is almost unheard of. I think the reason it is so large is because SE is trying to pump out a new Game Engine and Server Client within a year.

Not one bit surprised. When I told that the team was still hiring new people the usual hatemongers flew in my face screaming that it was impossible for Square Enix to actually invest resources into this game.
Well, there you have it. Changes like the ones we're seeing aren't done with a handful of people.
Really now. 250 people is not really far from the average of any AAA MMORPG studio. CCP has 600. Granted, that includes administrative staff and they're working on 3 games, but 250 is definitely heard of, if not common.
yeah because Square Enix has only 250 employees, and don't actually have multiple teams and more than 3300, right?
Oh wait...

How is it unheard of? Most games even SP Xbox games have that many people lol.
its still nice but you could see this in the credits. Majority of them will be working on that new game, and that engine which probably isnt just for XIV. So dont think for a second all 250 are working primarally on XIV, they will be working on stuff related like I just mentioned.
