If we use a zeta to upgrade our anima will we lose it?

So the new anima weapons are going to allow us to skip a phase if we have a zeta already, but will this consume our zeta? If so what will happen with the relic glamours? Since you have to have a zeta in your possession to get the previous glamours of that zeta.

There's no solid answer yet, but I very much doubt that our old relics will be consumed in the process. The game keeps track of what quests we've completed so I think it's more likely that if it detects we've completed the the last relic quest chain it will enable us to take advantage of the shortcut in the anima quest chain.

First relic required us to get a base weapon, our zodiac will probably replace that base weapon.

My guess: Yes, it will be consumed, but they'll add a replica available at Drake or sth. They set a precedent with all the other stages, so...yeah.

I hope we get to keep our zeta's but sadly we haven't kept any of the previous incarnations of our relics. It seems we always had to trade them in to get the new one. I love my zeta's and would love to continue to use them for glamour.

This is true, but our 2.x relic weapons were in-lore the same weapon being upgraded with every stage, while the new anima weapons are a completely different weapon (otherwise we would be required to have finished the 2.x chain).

Even if it is you'll just be able to go get a replica from north shroud so it's a bit irrelevant.

That is what the OP was querying. At present you cannot buy a replica of any Relic Weapon without having the same weapon in your possession (eg SCH weapon to get SCH weapon). The concern is that if the Zeta is completely consumed during the conversion to Anima then there's no 2.x Relic Weapon remaining to allow access to the copies in North Shroud. They've said that the 3.x Relic is a separate entity to the 2.x Relic so it's not fully understood just how the Zeta will be used to skip Stage One of Relic 3.x.

It's already known. You will not lose your zeta, in fact it has no relation for the new relic except you can skip the first stage as a bonus; this is likely verified if you have completed a zeta quest.
