He said that a class by the name of "Samurai" would make more sense as a DPS and if they were to make it a tank it would probably be renamed to something like shogun.

That makes very little sense as Shoguns are glorified strategists that lead armies, Samurai also wore heavy armour in battle. I guess lead into battle = tank?... But then Paladins would be Kings following that.
