How can you have trouble with the controls? O.o They're so simple a baby could do it.

I actually know someone who thinks flying it a really hard thing to do and she keeps crashing into walls and the floor, but she is bad at everything. You know there are buttons to ascend and descend right? So you don't always need the camera facing the direction you want to fly. The flying is actually really nice in this game especially with how the new field zones are designed with a lot of verticality.

Sorry TC but flying is just too awesome to give up.
Flight, the true end game.
^.^

You're doing it wrong.

Flying and its controls (at least on pc) is one of the best things they added to the game in a long longgg longgg time.
To remove it would be highly foolish.
I disagree 100% and think even suggesting its removal is silly

How is it that OP hasn't even answered back to this thread? *stalker mode on*
But yeah, you don't have to enjoy flying. I'd say mess around with controls to get it less "annoying" to you.
After posts like these, I sometimes wonder how do people even manage to turn on their computers/consoles.

I like flying because it allows the designers to be very lazy with the overworld, as it will be marginalized and largely ignored once flying is unlocked, a few hotspots aside. Moreover, since the maps are bigger and there are no set travel routes, it greatly reduces the chance to meet other players, which is great for people who just want to be left alone.
