While I wouldn;t mind the tail being removed from the chocobo suit, it is NOT something I would want to see done regularly. If I wanted to not have a tail, I wouldn't play a miqote.

Simple solution (as are most of the QoL issues we have) - tail toggle button. Display Tail in all situations, including when wearing gear designed to have it hidden. - Y/N.

This is something that has been discussed in the past and the dev team doesn't appear particularly fond of hiding tails completely.

They said they will consider auto-hiding tails for gear that makes it look "awkward" when testing it for all future sets after 3.0. This is why the new DRG set hides tails now. Unfortunately they said they won't be going back and altering old gear like the Chocobo suit. The change will only apply to future gear.
