If we get vampires why not werewolf.

So I have seen a few threads about the vampire/blood mage job and was thinking why not a werewolf. I now this my sound insane but hear me out. No the werewolf job itself won't turn you into the a hairy monster so no hairy lalas running around. The job will be inspired by the clinical term of lycanthropy. Were the individual thinks its Transforming to a animal. This could be implemented as warriors which harness the brutality of their inner beast. Anyways the job will be a beserker inspired job like FFX-2. Could be a evasive tank I know that evasion is a bit of a problem in ff14 at the moment. Could make it even branch of Puligist. Some of the moves could include the FFX-2 moves like Howl could be your basic AOE enimity generator. Intimidade could be a utility skill that could increase damage dealt. Hey why not give it a tank stance like pack leader or somthing like that. As for the weapons just have it use fist like the monks. Would be koo if the AF armor would be made from pelt.

An evasive tank sounds fun. And the Sohm Al set is very popular, even if it is just the same model for every class.

The vampire came from Bravely Default (a spiritual successor to FF), which is their version of the Blue Mage.

Also, the JP get a lot of things wrong about American horror like vampires and werewolves. Case-in-point, they seem to like the idea of sparkling vampires and fur-less werewolves as much as tweenage girls do. I'm not saying it's not possible or it wouldn't be fun, but the results might be a little too strange for most player's taste.

Overall, not sold on the idea. I wouldn't mind vampire or werewolf enemies though. Not sure if there's enough to warrant an entire Job.

I think it's a neat idea, but it is far too similar to WAR (your idea is also a tank). WAR even has the move "Inner Beast," and is basically a cross between Viking and Berserker. It also cross classes with PGL. Basically, replace wolf with bear and you have WAR.

And incredibly hard to balance. Either they will be overpowered (like Ninja in FFXI) or useless (Hope/Light in FFXIII).

You have to remember that evading an attack means you take 0 damage. Which is not the same as taking reduced damage. So either the tank will take very little to no damage if they evade a lot, or they will die quickly because evasion is not the same as mitigation.

Evasion is also a RNG so that's a whole other can of worms.
