I'm actually moving to a pc from my Ps4 for FFXIV. The load times are better than ps3 but on ps4 compared to a pc is a huge difference. My bf has a pc and his load time is about 8 secs or less and it takes around 20 to 30 seconds for me to load in. Depending on if it's primetime it can take 1 min or more. Also the ps4 still struggles with heating issues due to having to constantly render players. I play with 2 fans on my Ps4 in a open ventilated area just so the ps4 fans do not sound extremely loud. Ps4 still suffers when a lot of players are attacking a enemy. Players and the enemy can disappear and then suddenly reappear.

I went PS3 -> PS4 without a SSD and there was a huge difference in load times..

Shame they didn't keep the free PS3 to PS4 upgrade in effect. It's the same platform and an upgraded console shouldn't require buying a new game. I don't think that is required when people update their PC's.

Video game consoles aren't held to the same standards as PCs.

no but if you wanted to go basic PC->Steam you would have to rebuy. Same concept for PS3->PS4.

I personally think ps3 support should be cut however all licenses on accounts on ps3 should be allowed to be transferred to ps4/pc one of the two for free with say a month free sub for the inconvenience...

SE think of the games future and your long time customers hire the ffXI crew and ffxiv could become truly amazing. fyi I have seen quite a few mmorpgs with better graphics then this course they are pay to win free to play and all but ffxiv could be amazing if it could move forward by dropping what they claim as an excuse, ps3 limitations.

Like really the world of tech keeps moving forward and to be competitive you need to keep with the times.

my advice to SE merge all teams that still work that have made any of the final fantasy titles heck could make many expansions meaning yes we have to buy but the content would be far more than now.

Are you going to buy ALL those people a ps4/PC TO upgrade to? For many, a good rig, or a new console isn't within the budget of their livelihood yet, 400+ dollars is A LOT of money. 12.99/m is vastly more affordable than that.

PS3 and PS4 aren't really the same platform.
Or it should be no problem to play the PS3 disk of FF X in the PS4 instead of buying the game again for the PS4.

The difference between PS3 and PS4 is like Night and day, take it from someone who has played on all 3 platforms, you will never even think of ps3 again going to PS4, its very near in performance to PC version.

Man I hate to say it but just ask for a PC. You can get a PC built that will run XIV better than a PS4 for the same price just about. I can't tell you how many players lately have lagged out or been disconnecting b/c they can't run wtfast or a VPN to try and get the connection to the servers stable.
