male miqo'te - How would you like it to look?

Does anyone else think that the male miqo'te ears looks more like bat-like instead of feline? The concept art is cool, but a little confusing.

ew no thanks... i like my catboys as the lithe gurry men they're destined to be and i'd rather them stay that way.. the idea that Men have to be overly musclebound buff walls of meat.. is just gross. we already got Roegs and Highlander hyurs to make up more than enough ugly in the game, some pretty boys to balance it out wouldnt hurt XD

Male miqotes look like they belong in Yaoi manga... My GF is mad at me because I told her I might roll male miqote so I'm having second thoughts. We'll see what happens in a year.

I'd like them to stay feminine. The way they portrayed them with the concept art is perfect. Girl like the girly cat boys. Let them have 'em. I mean, our female roegadyns will be somewhat manly, and that's what I like. Doesn't have to be specifically manly. We can have feminine guys kick ass too

Honestly, why do one when you can have both? There's seeker of the sun Mi'qote's and seeker of the moon ones aren't there? Just have one of the races have really buff man cats like the BoF characters like Rei and Cray, and have the more slender effeminate types for the other. Problem solved, and it would make more sense anyways for different clans to look different as well, setting them apart from each other so you can tell.

Though along those lines for other races, I hope they include a Roegadyn clan that has tails and looks like the galka of FFXI.

Really hope they actually implement something like this. Then there would be variety to choose from!

The current concept work makes them actually resemble the females of the species, slender, agile, and felinoid.

Trying to make the males and females look to differed might result in a WoW Troll issue, males and females there don't even look like the same species with the males being vastly different anatomically, being nearly 5 feet taller and having a completely different bone structure to the females which look like humans with an underbite.

Let's keep the miqo'te actually looking like a consistent species.

All dogs are canis familiaris, every breed looks different.
However, does a female German Shepard look completely different than a male German Shepard?

I definitely agree. Having the clans be different would be all well and good if there was precedent for it. Currently there is not. Both clans of female Miqo'te look basically the same aside from skin color, eyes and other small cosmetic options. Shape and design wise they're basically the same though which makes sense as they're of the same race.

Sure you could bring up Highland and Midland Hyur but it's a slightly different situation. Highland Hyur hail from a completely different region and lifestyle, as well as what would seem like genetics catering more to greater height and whatnot. As of the start of the game the precedent was set that Highland and Midland were different physically despite both being Hyur. The Miqo'te clans were not really differentiated in the same way from the start of the game.
