THANK YOU! A lot of people, like myself, have tried to get evidence of these cheating scumbags for a while. Now nobody can deny their existence. It ruined Seize for myself and a few of my friends as we'd run into a premade with several of these and it was just unpleasant to play against. Worse than unpleasant actually, it was annoying watching people cheat and be unable to do anything (so hard to prove).
Unfortunately it is becoming even more common as I believe it's a simple option when using the 'harmless' software many people seem to use. It's bad enough in open world but in PVP it's terrible. Had a SMN in Wolves Den on Friday who caught up to us at the top of the steps by running around the outside of the arena whilst we sprinted straight ahead. His Garuda was permanently ahead too. It's just not feasible to do without a cheat. =(Positively ridiculous, they were moving at sprint (or possibly even mount) speed the whole time. Under the bridge node when they ran to the back of the group, just watching that little X weave so quickly between their allies made it really obvious how fast they were going.
I really hope SE bans this user for this. I'd hate to see these start becoming a common occurrence because of inaction on their part.
yo, someone upload on a mirror or something. i want to see what that looks like because i think i've seen the same.
Very sorry about that. It's public again so you can view it now.
I don't remember putting the video "private". Maybe it does so automatically when you make changes to something.
Thanks for the heads up!
2/2 he obviously wasnt moving fast enough.

It's very sad that people are just brazen enough to do this, especially in open sight.
I've not seen any sort of speed hack like that, but on a rare occasion I do see a non-black mage (aetherial manipulation I think its called?) doing some sort of odd teleporting. Unfortunately as others have stated it's very hard to capture proof of this...and I almost never record pvp matches :/
I would hope SE does recognize that this is an issue and takes some course of action.
S-E has never been good about making the public aware of hackers by name, because, like someone else said, they don't want the so-called "witch hunt" where players harass each other about suspected illegal activity.
Better to send a report to S-E and include your video link, along with the date and time you captured the footage. They should be able to review their logs, and then observe that player when they next enter matches in order to see if they are indeed an offender in the way we think they are. And then from there, maybe they can devise the tools to catch or counter their methods. All you're doing here is cruising for a ban yourself. (Sadly...)
According to the forum guidelines this could constitute:
Best play it safe and report through official channels TBH. Though I do appreciate the heads-up personally. Next time I see someone whizzing about and without rubber-banding indicative of latency issues, I will take care to report them myself in the game. This lets me know what symptoms to keep an eye out for.
- Posting that constitutes discrimination against another forum member or group (also including forming groups for the purpose of discrimination), insults, slander, libel, harassment of a group or individual.
- Posting seeking to damage or disparage Square Enix, the forum, FINAL FANTASY XIV, or others.

Very nicely edited video and yes I think all kinds of cheating are a cancer that do more harm to the game experience than anything else could.
