Your favourite story moment/s (spoilers, obviously)

So, it's been two years. We've all had our own unique experience with ups and downs, but let's concentrate on the storyline for a moment.

What is your favourite moment in the story? Doesn't have to be strictly cutscene, can be a moment where you talk to a NPC or a dungeon/trial that's part of the story.

I'll start. For me personally the Thordan fight is the moment that crowns Heavensward for me. That intro before the fight gives me shivers everytime. When you realise you're basically about to overthrow Ishgard's ruling figure and his personal knights. Should you win or die, there will be a long lasting effect on Ishgard's politics and every citizen's life.

Another favourite moment is definitely the Dark Knight lvl 50 quest. I should've expected it, but it still took me by surprise.

As for prior to Heavensward I'd say the gladiator lvl 30 quest had just the right amount of epicness to it. The battle music is still my favourite and I was overjoyed when I heard it on minibosses in Sastasha HM. If I recall correctly, I had to do the gladiator duty at least three times before I managed to finish it. The characters that fought by my side and who I fought against were interesting and I really wanted to be part of that story and see it unfold.

The ending to the 2.55 story, specifically the banquet and it's disastrous aftermath

being framed for the 'assassination', seeing Minfilia and the Archons sacrifice themselves one after the other to allow the Warrior of Light to escape, it was just an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end.

The part that really struck me emotionally though was probably after the Warrior of Light escapes from the tunnels at the Sil'dih Excavation Site, as that really drove home just how... horribly everything had gone wrong for them. That (narrative wise) they had no home, no livelihood, no allies, and were now on the run accused of a capital crime they didn't commit, I pictured Enki just about breaking down from the hopelessness of it all.

Of course things soon picked up when Alphinaud and Pipin showed up, but it still seemed that point was the Warrior of Light's darkest hour, as it was a direction in the story that I admit I had not expected SE to take. Grinding our seemingly invincible character down and showing their potential weakness in the worst way possible.

It was awesome stuff which will be a very hard act to top.

When Haurchefant died. It made me cry.

It was masterfully done. I also felt the scene where his father tells us to avenge him and then collapses in grief was very well done. It's a very powerful scene.

Haurchefaunt, it's the only part so far that has actually gotten me interested in the story.

Iceheart would have been good to if her death wasn't so odd. A stab to the stomach you're fine, but hit by an explosive bullet does you in?

Meeting Iceheart at the Ahk Afah Amphitheater when she transforms into Shiva with that AMAZING music. I see a lot of parallels between her and the WoL; she's just a person, like the WoL, fighting for her own cause. They aren't so different.

"You should never have come here, Warrior of Light... If it is our fate to be at odds, then it is mine to strike you down." Something I can imagine my own WoL saying.

And then how you become unlikely allies, she fights and sacrifices for you. A really beautiful character arc, and I felt that her death was meaningful and well done (in contrast to the Scions who seem to be getting off fairly lightly as it seems likely they will all survive their massive conflict).

Making my Cockatrice Meatballs for the CUL quest ^^. Very rewarding, especially after spending ages on my 60 WHM killing the cockatrices for their meat! Only had WHM who could kill them as they are 58-59 XD. Best quest ever!

Goldsmith's level 60 quest is really touchy. Having 2 music box for 2 roes wedding anniversary and attach into one and playing Praetorium tune.

Also first time meeting Iceheart at Akh Afah Amphitheatre. The BGM is really makes me chill when Iceheart transform to Shiva.

The quest where my character had to storm through the Castrum Praetorium to battle against Gaius then later Lahabrea was truly epic! I like the part where Gaius asked my character "For whom do you fight?" and "Do you believe in Eorzea?". Those questions really made me feel connected to the game. Plus, I was relieved to know that Thancred really wasn't a bad guy XDD

The ending of 2.5 really messed with my emotions. A lot of sh*t happened and I was like, "Is this really happening right now?" Along with Alphinaud, I was feeling lost because I thought all the Scions had died and we had no where to go since everyone was coming after my ass, lol.

The part where Alphinaud and Tataru were accused for crime by Grinnaux and his companion. It was wonderful seeing Alphinaud fighting.

The Vault Aftermath - You guys know what I'm talking about.....yeah....my heart was ripped out and crushed on that scene....

Fighting alongside Ser Aymeric...I fangirled like a maniac, lol
