    "You have already acquired the action granted by this item."

    So, when upgrading my Ironworks Rod, I came across a weird dialogue window that's really puzzling me:



    Since when do items in FFXIV grant actions? This reads like something out of FFXI. Any clue what it could be referring to, or where the text is transposed from?

    Isn't it supposed to be the text telling you that your current job cannot equip this weapon? I play in French and I remember having this pop up when upgrading i120 weapon.

    May be a bug. It most likely applies to the new dances / hairstyles so you don't accidentally purchase them twice with MGP.

    That wouldn't normally pop up in this case since I was on the appropriate job for the weapon at the time.

    Oh, that would make sense. Action is a weird term for them to use but they might be referring to the new emotes, yes.

    Definitely not, since they you can't buy more of them at all after using them. It is the text used when you try to buy a tradable minion you already have,

    You're 100% correct. It's a bug. I received the same message when buying the Wyvern Horn. I didn't have the mount or the item to add the mount in my bag.

    This dialogue has popped up in more than a few places for me. Traded in one set of crystals for AST anima quest (for the astral nodule, IIRC) and this showed up. Likewise I've had this happen when I traded in my Mhachi farthing once. What's going on with this?

    I've seen this too when upgrading law and eso gear - doesn't seem to cause any problems
