People seem to think that an FC alliance would be all about using chat. One of the boons was that small FCs without housing could ally with large ones with and have the benefits that come with housing. There'd also be the ability to show who was your ally by the colour of their name. There was talk of alliance against alliance fights & a myriad of other things. It wasn't just about a glorified linkshell.
