NOT everyone..MOST
no is true they dont...you just find yourself (general yourself) kicked without knowing why.. In there you and I agree...NOTHING is said. Which in end result I am not too sure what is better to hear something (so to speak) or hear nothing...but each to their own

This isn't the norm. I have an FC mate that's new to the game so I tanked their first run of Haukke Manor, I asked the others if they were okay with a full clear because it was my friends first time and no one was against it. We kept a good pace and cleared the whole dungeon with no complaints and even had some chitchat along the way. Everyone is not a douche it's just that bad encounters ring louder and longer in your mind.

The argument isn't that most people are assholes (though hoo boy, some days...) but rather that they ARE there and that there's no getting around it.This isn't the norm. The issues are many, the first is iL. Most high level players believe their iL will carry them in older content, forgetting that if your level is capped so to is your gear. Then there's the nature of Duty Finder. You don't know who you're being teamed, yet most high level players seem to think that new players don't exist anymore and that everyone they're running the content with is also moonlighting for Roulette rewards. They also believe that you have access to more abilities than what the level range would allow. This is most prevalent among those who haven't actually leveled the class in question. Then there's the notion of who sets the party's pace. Most have this idea that the tank sets the pace no matter what the content is. This is a blatant lie that's somehow become 'truth', tanks may pull in this game but if the healer can't heal you through all the damage of a large pull or the DDs kill them in a timely manner then you're not doing large pulls. The party sets pace.

I was lucky, I started playing when ARR came out, so I got to avoid this kind of tank. Everybody was new and stupid then, exploring the caves of satasha because they looked cool etc.Good times
I actually used to DF leviathan over and over, for fun, I liked seeing the newer players learn the mechanics and learn to dodge divebombs, the win at the end is always sweeter. And seeing how happy they were to finally clear it ^-^ (plus the music in there is sweeeet)

Tell your friend to wait till endgame when he/she comes across the "I'm max 210 ilvl I don't have to follow ANY mechanics or orders because I'm so immortal" person... Those people are so silly lol

When I started the game (in March? I think) I decided to go with a 'future WHM'. So when in Sastasha I had some gear, but ofc mostly grey. Tank went for bigger pulls and then started complaining about my heals numbers even after my bf explained that we were new (he was returning) and that I wasn't a lvl 45 WHM with full high level gear, and the tank kept complaining about the numbers when I casted my cure :l.
Surely it was an awful first dungeon experience and it repeated again a couple months ago when I started to tank and a high lvl healer decided that my pulls weren't big enough, bringing more mobs even when I had NO TP (Marauder/Sastasha) and complaining why I didn't take aggro.
The list of things you may find is enormous, that's why there's this topic around:

Bugs are friends, not souls of war.

This really isn't 100% the players fault..it is what happens when you have weekly caps, and tomestones that are best obtained by being forced to play with lower level players. You claim that veteran players "force" the new players to adapt to their style..well, blame the developers for forcing veterans to help newbies level to get their tomestones. It is just bad all around.
I've no problem helping someone level...but it feels so disconnected in this game socially the way they have us do it.
Back when they put the relic into old content (shudder) you should have seen how bad it was then. I just get around it by only playing with people I know. I am not going to help them keep subs by being forced to help new players level (I don't mind helping them..I just don't like how this game puts the rewards for veterans in there and in a way forces them to play with newer players, if I am going to help someone, I want it to be because I choose to.)
