Question about the new changes to the EXP gain

Ok, I know that they fixed the problem with the PL issue but I saw something weird today while doing a leve party with some LS friends.

We where doing lvl 30 leves at 5 stars and my friends where R32, 34 and 49 (I'm R37) and I wasn't getting any exp from the normal leve mobs or any monster chains at all but I still got the exp from finishing the leve, so, my question is:

How does the new party system works now? Does it has anything to do that my R49 friend was helping us or it's something else?

Sorry if it's a silly question but would be nice if anyone can help figure out why I was getting 0 exp while killing things.

The Exp from the end of leves is a base rate for completion, speed, and difficulty. Getting SP from the mobs has no effect on that.

As to why you got 0 exp anything 10+ range in a party means the lower end gets 0 EXP

Oh, so does that mean that If I'm in a party with someone 10+ leves above mine, I won't get any exp at all?
