I have... Not very often. I don't mind the sporadic shouts for recruitment (seems like a natural part of the game,) but I get irritable when one thing clogs up the chat log and makes it harder to catch more important things. I get even more irritable when the continual input uses statements that I find disagreeable. But yeah, has not happened too often.

Building raid teams usually gets members who will stick around.

^ This. I got mine from a post on a FB group actually. The reason I chose them was they have a FC website and I went to check it out, saw some videos of in game events complete with the teamspeak audio, and these seemed like some really cool fun people. There are a ton of lvl 60s, but also new members or folks leveling other classes. Perfect.... hopped on and searched a few of the members and clicked the application button.

A few of us had joined at the same time... and those that were on immediately welcomed us, asked us to please let everyone know if we had any questions or needed help in any way, HQ'd our gear, showed us around the house, and we kinda hung out having a party running around the housing area. I got lost the other night looking for something... a member said "stay put" came and got me and showed me an entrance I'd run past 50 times. We all laughed when I got my first wipe. I ran my rotation past someone that's been doing it longer and got pointers. Make sure you point out if you're low level, newb, casual friendly, etc. THAT is what makes a difference.
