I absolutely use macros for anything lower than level 55. When you can get 100% HQ off of 2 button presses instead of 25, it's kind of a no-brainer.

I sometimes use macros myself, especially when crafting in bulk where a few NQ results won't really upset me. I might try this tip out for though, since more HQs would be nicer.
For long-running macros where you need 2-3 macros due to the 15 command limit per macro, I have a few tips to make them easy to keep up with.
What I do is have 4 hotbars (I'll call them #1-4 for this example) that I don't normally have visible on the screen, then I set up the first macro in the process on one of them. Then my macros looks like this:
/hotbar change 4
/ac "crafting skill" <wait.3>
...
/ac "last crafting skill" <wait.3>
/echo "Press step 2" <se.3>
/hotbar change 2
hotbar 1 has the first step, hotbar 2 has the second step in the same slot, hotbar 3 has the third step in the same slot, and hotbar 4 is actually empty.
So the last command needs to change to the hotbar of the next step in the process. The last step can change back to the hotbar for the first step so that this can be ready for the next craft. You can even set the sound effect to be different for the last step so that you can have a better cue for yourself that you need to interact with the crafting window.
Essentially, this setup lets you just mash the crafting button and listen to the sound effect cues as you do whatever.
Uh, what? I craft several hours a day and let me tell you there's no way I'm sitting there making every food manually. I have no-brainer one button macros for level 50 and below stuff, a 2 button macro for level 51-59, and a 2 button macro for level 60. A friend recently pointed me to a reliable 3 button macro for crafting 1 star items, and I'm in absolute heaven. :3

Y'all keep mentioning these great macros but none of you are putting out. Come on, deliver me some sugar; macros please. :3
It really depends on your gear though, idk the minimum stats required for mine because I just swap them up as I go.
I also dunno how efficient they are. I have the cp already so I didn't really worry about minmaxing them.

I use that1 for L55-60 (462cp). If Brow triggers it skips the cs2 after it, otherwise cs2 fires. On non-60 stuff 1cs2 + SS is enough to complete it, so it ends early; 1 extra cs2 for L60 stuff, 1 extra for Brow redundancy.

As you wish, here's my macro for all "materials" crafts up to Lv59:
Part 1:
/ac "Comfort Zone" <wait.2>
/ac "Inner Quiet" <wait.2>
/ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
/ac "Manipulation" <wait.2>
/ac "Basic Touch" <wait.3>

/ac "Basic Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Basic Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Basic Touch" <wait.3>

/ac "Byregot's Brow" <wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis II" <wait.3>
/ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis II"
So yeah, basically mashes Basic Touch a bunch of times, then two-shotting the item (which is why chrysolite fails). The reason for splitting it there is because my "Lv60 gear" macro branches off from there.
I have other macros for everything up to and including 2-star, but they might not do you much good
My stats: 818 Craft, 790 Control, 422 CP before food
It will be interesting to see how delineations affect things from here on. Synths might end up being better to build an IQ stack of 5, hit brow, build another stack of 5, hit brow again, and then finish with a third brow, or a BB on a 7-9 stack. 14 or 19 IQ stacks may sound like a lot, but remember that if you end up using two delineations in a synth, that's is potentially a LOT of precise touches. It's interesting to think about anyway. RIght now, delineations aren't too necessary unless a synth is going horribly wrong for you, in which case it seems like most ppl prefer to risk a reclaim, but they could become fun.
