Beast Tribe Ranks - Clarification Needed

Sorry to be wordy on this post, but here it goes:

I only recently started doing beast tribe quests. I have Vanu and Ixali at rank 7 (to be maxed in the next 7 days). The other beast tribe quests, e.g. Sahagin, Kobald, etc., are still at bare rank 1.

Thankfully, while Googl'in, I came across a general post for FFXIV that stated that once you completed Allied beast tribe quests, you auto-rank up to 8 upon completion of the last Allied quest. So, that being said, could you please add clarification to my thoughts/understandings below?

1) Max rank (as of 3.1) is 8, Allied, for each beast tribe.
2) You technically only have to reach rank 4 for each of the tribes (sans Ixali and Vanu) before you can activate the Allied quests
3) Once you rank up to 4 for the original beast tribe quests (sans Ixali), you have access to the Allied quests.
4) Once the Allied quests are COMPLETED, you will auto-rank up to level 8 for all the original beast tribe quests (sans Ixali an Vanu)

2) Yes you have to reach 4
3) Yes you will access the Allied quest
4) Yes you will rank up to 8 for the 2.0 tribes

I suppose the reason the Allied rank is 8 for everyone is for synchronization purposes. I assume that the Vanu Vanu will also get that rank soon (after the Gnath and other Beast tribes of Heavensward are introduced)

For the Allied Beast Tribe, the Vanu were added after it so I don't think you need to finish theirs off to do it, though a sequel quest would require them most likely.

Also the Vanu already go up to rank 8. Unless the bar I'm working on right now just brings them up and their isn't another quest after finishing it. (1730 rep from 7 to 8 btw.)

The first 3 Beastmen cap at rank 4. Ixal cap at rank 7. That opens up the side quest to get the ARR Beastmen to Rank 8. The Vandu cap at Rank 7 as well. They'll probably gonna do the same thing at some point to get the Heavensward Beastmen to Rank 8.

the non crafting tribes max at 4
ixali tribe will max at 7

after all those there will be a unification quest that jumps them all to 8 automatically

vanu vanu is a bit strange though
the story seemed to end at 7
you get the mount and different color minion at 7
the quests didn't reset at 7
but... the rep is still going up

The Vanu Vanu do indeed go to rank 8, even though oddly enough you get the second minion, mount, and achievement (with title) for rank 7. The rank 7 quest was "Nest Side Story" iirc. Looking on the lodestone, there's another quest after that called "The Nest of Honor", so I guess since it seems their story is done maybe it's more of a follow up quest.

From mining, Vanu Vanu last rank (rank 8) will give only "You will receive an experience point bonus upon the completion of Vanu Vanu beast tribe daily quests.".
