2.x content as a new player these days

Umm yes, I am not a new player, but a month ago I started a new character, simply to refresh my memory of the main story before i can continue on with 3.1 story. Well, then I also thought that hey, I should also unlock all the possible content on this new character, as I plan to play it a lot in the future (really liked the BLM I never had on my main character). But then I came to the point where it is near impossible to find a group for 2.x extreme primals and just plain impossible to find group for Binding Coil of Bahamut (like if I wanted to go t1 - i could wait ages and get nothing).
You see, before HW came out I had hoped that development team will think of a way to keep people playing the old content on regular basis by releasing some kind of weekly with some useful reward or something like that. Yet all we have is glamours most people couldn't give a damn about and ponies.

People are playing it all the time! Though, people doesnt use duty finder just to fail. Which means they make a party on their own an THEN enter the instance. Join a fc, get some friends, start running

Honestly I am yet to find any people interested in going through 2.x content. I've lots of contacts in the game, yet barely anyone wants to do 2.x content, because "there's no point". I kind of know what they mean, they been through this content lots of time before and aren't interested in going again, since there's nothing for them in there. Making a completely new network of people just for 2.x content sounds like way too much trouble. I mean, take a crystal tower raids for instance. having 23 friends online at the same time just to clear the content is quite a problem. there's no motivation to do these raids, considering the effoert you need to put in finding people.

I've considered starting groups on my server, but although it's a fairly large server I'm not sure how much interest there would be. Only thing I can say is that if you haven't tried posting on your server's forums yet, doing so might get noticed.

Also, a full party may not be needed for some of this. If you go in unsynced at level 60, you're ridiculously strong in comparison to people clearing it when it was new.

You may need to find a linkshell or something on your server. Our fc often helps members with older content to try and get them caught up.
Who knows SE may add the drop to upgrade eso gear in wod or something, i have doubts there but who knows.
Have you tried party finder? Might be a longshot but you never know. If there is no interest then you really are not on a very friendly helpful server

well I am on Lich, the notorious "filled-with-casuals" server =) though before HW it's been like home, since I found a lot of decent people to manage a raiding community with and go through t1-13 within like 2 months =) but after HW we kind of separated and community fell, some joined static with me, others with other statics and etc. now a lot of time passed since HW release and I can barely see any pf entries for coils at all. most of the guys i know are too focused HW content, while in PF you can only have a slim hope of people joining only if you set unsync. I remember t5 unsync with only 3 people. we didn't even put an effort in it, was dead easy. not the kind of run i'm looking for =\
considering switching servers, since i can't regulary raid anymore, i can't get back to my static and clearing content on Lich through pf is like a russian roulette with 5 bullets loaded out of 6. but if i am to switch server, i'm gonna need to know which ones are active on all kind of content clearing, not just HW =)

Hey man you can give me a /tell in-game, I just helped some of my friends through some unsyched EX primals. I can probably bully them into doing it again.

I know I certainly want some of that stuff for glamour...

As for Coil, I have yet to finish but my group is on Final Coil... we have no interest in doing Binding again at all but we sometimes do Second Coil (that High Allagan gear is so nice looking).
