Either way, sounds like you were in a party where things weren't going so well. Be thankful you got booted instead of having to ditch and get a 30 minute penalty.

Harassment is a reason to kick. Without being there to confirm but from what you've said it sounds like you were harassing them. Yea you offered some critism the player gave his reason but then you said you kept telling them. Which is harrassment. He knew already, no reason to hound the guy. Sounds like vote kick was used correctly to stop harassment.

You know what really grinds my gears...

The Titan instance. That god forsaken land is latency death for me. Titans cast bar for all his moves only load on my screen when it's at something like 80% complete lol.

It's really just a clunky out of date computer problem but still! That instance!

Though I have been noticing that I am having graphics lag in other places but I will try my best to dodge mechanics regardless. From what I took from OPs post the guy wasn't even trying (had a tank in dusk vigil just stand still and eat all the Mechanics for trash pulls and bosses two nights ago) so that is a Debbie downer. Luckily I have my wife's character to log into to mitigate that 30 minute penalty if stupid happens but SE in all intents and purposes money driven, even banning RMT is a potential loss for them.

Sohm Al is the worst dungeon for me, I only lag on the last boss.-

If you're referring to the one where Tioman drops a circle marker on someone and then line markers everywhere, if you watch for a cast bar with "Chaos Star" i think its called, begin moving when you see the cast at the half point (or less if your lag is THAT bad), by the time the cast finishes it'll target where your lagging body still is but when the damage hits, you've now moved according to the server to your new position.
It's pretty much how i had to deal with it and i got the idea from Titan HM and counting down the seconds between mechanics so i could begin moving BEFORE i need to so that the latency catches up to my new spot when the casts actually happen >_>

Twitania was even more flagrant, to pass it I had to have someone ding when the tornados were happening ? why ? because I was getting hit without seeting anything not even the cast bar...listening to that ding from a player that didnt suffer from that lag..allowed me to ease through that nightmare without problem, that is how bad lag can be and nobody was seeing it.

People think they know all when in fact they know close to nothing ..or rather know only what they are faced with.

So I basically was telling our monk to start caring about the dungeon's mechanics, and even about the positionals, which monks are all about. He said he was lagging really badly, which was pretty much a lie since if you're lagging badly enough to ignore the mechanics or not care about positionals, then everyone could notice it. The thing is, does the text in that picture mean they basically won't get punished? I got kicked because I kept telling them about that, they just didn't like me telling them so I got kicked, wasting quite some of my time.

Yeah, I'm not surprised you got kicked. The guy said he was lagging, you continued to berate him. Lag happens, and there's no guarantee that everyone will experience it at the same time. Occasionally I'll be fine and then once I'm in an instance I'll get sporadic several-second delays I can't do anything about. As long as you guys were still progressing, who cares? It's just a dungeon, it's not like you were raiding or something.

This is incorrect. You cannot necessarily see someone else's lag. Case in point, a friend of mine whom I voicechat with while healing will tell me if he begins to lag. But on my screen, all I see is him eating AoEs for 5-10 seconds before getting the DC symbol and vanishing (assuming he gets dropped, which isn't always the case). There are times when you can see some flash-stepping around, yes, but not always.
