You all forgot that CACTUAR IS a High population, some nights FULL, server.

Greg, Sargentanis, exodus, and Balmung are not the only populated servers.

OP, almost half if not all servers people here listed are for heavy end game raiders. Elitist punks who make you want to leave those servers lol. Hence why Mr Happy keeps jumping from server to server.

Cactuar is a semi end game raiding server. Lot's of grown up's too. Hell my FC, MYSIDIA, http://mysidia.enjin.com/ , has 50 to 150 people on all the time. We have full members too.

Thats good to know.I'm not looking for a hardcore end game experience as I have 2 kids a wife and a full time job.I am interested in endgame content though, just not one where it becomes a second job been through that with FFXI and WOW lol.

Zalera is a very low-pop server... people on them just get butthurt about how quiet they are and don't want to transfer, so they sneak the names in when people are asking for something else entirely.

No matter where you go, you get out of the game what you put into it. If you want to take a more casual/slow approach to endgame play then you should be able to find people to do that with you. Honestly, endgame raiders are such a small portion of any server's population that you really shouldn't have to worry about "elitist punks" ruining your overall experience (especially since most of them are pretty chill anyway and actual elitist assholes are few and far between).

I don't have a problem with small servers. I have a problem with people on small servers who are dissatisfied with the population and, rather than transfer, lie to other players about what they are. The only ones with any business being on a small server are players who like the quiet. Those who don't like what Zalera, Lamia, or any other small server is and think they need new players badly should leave it, not invite more players who'd be unhappy there.

Everyone recommending them when someone asks for a large or active server knows damn well they don't fit.

OP, this is an example of the attitude to avoid. Lies come from people who've already lost.

I haven't raided past Coil and my guild full of endgame players has been nothing but hilarious and friendly as I look for new content. Join a big one and be happy. The amount of people who are going to give you shit for anything less than joining a clear party to troll is minimal, and even Zalera's raiders aren't above their drama.

Unhappy players have less fun, generate less enthusiasm, and potentially even unsub. Players become unhappy when they're in the wrong environment or can't find the right content, and this isn't good for the game or any subcommunities. You can pack 100 new transfers onto Zalera, and if they're all miserable what good does it do you?

Perhaps if Zalera stopped trying to be Gilgamesh and those who secretly lust for it (*ahem*) sucked it up and transferred, the rest could find their own thing. The charm of the country isn't the charm of the city, and anyone who truly loves the country doesn't need to lie to sell it.

Right now you're your own worst enemies, and inviting others to share in your unhappiness.

About the same as others. I had an alt on Behemoth and Midgardsormr, and just liked a few FCs I saw here better. The only really distinct ones are Gilgamesh as the raiding hotspot and Balmung as the unofficial official roleplay server. You don't need to go to either of them for that, though.

Yes, we are all very unhappy on Zalera, so unhappy we continue to pay 15$ monthly to be very unhappy people, and I cannot help but try to lure people into our unhappy realm.

I agree that unhappy players have less fun, but who everyone on Zalera is unhappy? You fired shots at a server with your first post. Would you honestly expect those people that love this server and read the forums would let something like this go?

Are there bad apples here, sure, but they exist on every server (and in every part of life). We aren’t Greg, and from the evidence I have seen while being on the server for a year, we aren’t trying to be.

What we are is a community that has casuals, raiders, rp’ers, gatherers and crafters. We have a little of everything here, but not a lot of one specific thing, including population. And I see nothing wrong with this. Just like a small town, people here in Zalera know who the complete a**hats are. And just like a small town, if you are one of them, you will get labeled as such and because we are a smaller community, everyone will eventually know you are a douche. If this is something that bothers you, I can certainly say that I don’t want you here, and I am sure there would be a few others that agree.

We are not as active as a “big city” server during peak times, but we do have activity, and we do have fun (random conga line in idylshire comes to mind :P)
