Try Sargatanas. Its high pop but isn't locked out as much as Gilgamesh or balmung. I'd recommend at least sticking to Aether data center. Its higher pop than primal so queues for most things are usually faster.

Xenosys Vex is the character of a man on Sargatanas who has created some good guides usually detailing guidelines on what cooldowns tanks should use.

He is widely considered to be an extremely skilled tank in the game with high DPS numbers to back it up while still taking.

You could use something like this : http://www.world-alerts.com/ so you'll get an alert in your e-mail when the server opens. That can help a lot when you're trying to get onto a busy server and it opens up at weird times. I used it before and it works well.

Thanks for all the replies. Miyu20 who is Xenosys Vex? I think I'll try Excaliber, Behemoth and Leviathan and Zalera. I'll see which one I can create a character on lol

Zalera is a very low-pop server... people on them just get butthurt about how quiet they are and don't want to transfer, so they sneak the names in when people are asking for something else entirely.

I started on the trash heap known as Famfrit, so boy do I understand wanting a better server. I'm on Hyperion now (as you can see) and I find the community friendlier and more active and the market board is at least slightly less insane than Famfrit's. It seems like there are more crafters here in general, too.
