    Endgame advice.............

My main is a ilvl 196 MNK which I play with most of the time. I've reached a point in the game where I want to start doing AS. However, I have a problem with doing AS.

First off, despite seeing videos, doing it is another thing. I realize that and that's where my problems begin. As much as I try to join PF groups, most of them don't accept me because I've never successfully cleared it. To that you say, what about your FC? Well, my FC isn't into AS and nobody does it.

So, I need some advice on how to start doing AS. I've been told that why don't you start a PF learning group. To that I would say that sure, I have no issue, but that doesn't help me at all. Because a learning group would invite a lot of beginners and first timers and we all know how hard it is to "guide" the party to a clear.

I'll be blunt and to the point. I'm looking for either a FC, LS or bunch of people who have cleared it and are willing to guide me to doing AS.

Is such a thing even possible?

It sounds like you're having the same problem as some people on my server are having. I assume Zodiark is a small EU server, am I right? If it is, you have a couple of options.

    1) Deal with the fact that nobody in a higher raid tier is willing to help you and try and make a learning party yourself in PF. In my experience, the kinder you sound, more likely the experienced will help you. I.e. none of that "Please clear past 1 jump" stuff will get you a long way.

    2) Make a static of like-minded, similar skilled people to yourself and start raiding together. This is the hardest yet most rewarding option.

    3) Transfer to your Data Center's Balmung which is Phoenix I believe. This is the easiest yet most expensive as you have to spend real money to do this.

These are not the only options however, you can also take a break from the game or quit the game entirely or as you said find a new FC that is more raiding oriented.

I hope you do what is right for you.

Miyu20, I thank you for your advice and suggestions. I will try the simplest way first which is making a static PF and see how that goes. If all else fails then I may have to move servers. Zodiark is a bit dead as you mentioned.

Start with PFing training and/or set up a static either by asking the ones that join you if you want to train/run stuff together regularly or by PFing the jobs/roles you want to have covered.
Also you might PF a raid focused FC or linkshell.
For server transfer... Cerberus is also pretty strong in EU areas. Phoenix has a bigger raidscene I think (actually no real clue) while Cerby has a big mix and match of nationalities and mix of casual to hardcore. Our progression is usually in the middle to slow section I heard but you don't seem to aim for world first teams anyway

oh and also don't be shy if a static is recruiting for A2S or A3S beginning just ask if they accept lower XP and are willing to teach you and take a handful wipes for it.

My static started later in the game, but we're finally going places. I agree with putting together your own static. I'd also say, invite someone who has already cleared to help your team clear it as a sub. Their experience will really help you. My static was stuck at enrage until we got a sub with experience and his tips put us over the top. We have A1S on farm now, working on A2S and Thordan as a team.
