i dont know what it is but really starting to lose interest in the game and all this cash shop stuff is pushing me further away i get that they wanted to make more money but i would rather pay a higher amount for a sub fairly with everyone else rather then all the rich kids getting the best stuff i know its cosmetic stuff but still

FFXIV releases more content over the course of a year than any competitor, the sub @ $15 is like 3 games a year and I imagine most people are getting way more hours of play out of this than they would most any 3 games, and as mentioned all the stuff in the cash shop is cosmetic.

I think an argument should be made that items purchased in the cash shop should be available to sell on the market board so that it helps curb some of the RMT (you can't kill all of it unfortunately) and makes items available to those with little extra cash, but I don't think its fair to lump FFXIV in with some of the more egregious examples of bad games with bad cash shops.

edit: also if everyone could pay a higher amount monthly they (you included) could just as easily set aside that money to purchase the items in the cash shop.

So what you're saying something that affects you cosmetically is ruining your game? You don't have to buy anything from the cash shop and honestly it's much better than a F2P cash shop that's for damn sure. I thought this was going to be a thread about gameplay not the cash shop which doesn't affect your gameplay whatsoever.

edit: Everyone pays the same amount of money monthly, the only things you pay extra for are the CE of the game and in game cash shop which doesn't gate you out of anything it doesn't make you better/less than anyone else in the game.

I really don't understand the hate for the cash shop, it's entirely cosmetic. You said the items should be available to obtain in game, do you realize that at one point they were? Half of the cash shop is old event items, if you missed them the first time and are unwilling to buy them, then tough shit. SE isn't required to pander to their players, if they do so, it's because they choose to.
Get over yourself.

That makes no monetary sense unless you are the type of person who spends over a certain threshold on Mog Station stuff a year. What you are asking for essentially means paying for glamour items that you may not even want, over time.

For instance, if the sub fee is raised by $3 a month, that's $36 a year. Depending on what's released throughout the year, one might not even want to buy $36 worth of Mog Station glamour stuff; but if it's lumped into the sub fee, they're paying for it regardless.

Cash shop doesn't give any enhance to game like those other F2P but cosmetics so I can't complain with the cash shop until now (Back then almost mad about the metallic dye lol)

I have no problems with the cash shop unless they start putting pay to win stuff.. I have no problems with paying for optional cosmetic items

The problem i have is that some items in the cash shop are not obtainable in the game itself. That really annoys me.

^ This, look at what they are offering versus the rest of the industry. I am starting to get offended when people act like S-E is the big bad evil company screwing them out of their money. They must be working so damn hard to produce the amount of content they do, way above industry average. They deserve every penny and I am always happy when they do well financially because I love the things they create, it's a huge part of my life, and any success they have means they can keep producing more of this stuff.
