Odd question regarding Minfilia?

So this is a rather odd question that piqued my interest for some reason.

Is Minfilia a midlander or a highlander?

Her model from 1.0 looks more midlander, but then again it was more generic looking, but her new unique character model from 2.0 appears more highlander. I would think she is supposed to be a highlander since she is Ala Mhigan, but that isn't a definate, plus she could be half and half.

Any ideas or thoughts?

She's a Midlander. Not every Ala Mhigan is a Highlander, just like how not every Gridanian is Elezen, every Ul'dahn is Lalafell and every Lomisan is Roegadyn.

The reason for her unique character model? She's a major character in the storyline. They get special treatment in RPGs.

Thanks for the response. But I wasn't trying to imply that I didn't know the reason why she had a unique model. I was trying to point out that the unique model looks more highlander. Though I guess it could be more to show the passage of time than actually showing her heritage. Though I'm curious did we ever see her father? I never played 1.0.

If I remember right... if you played 1.0 and started in Ul'dah, then yes.

We don't know if her mother was a highlander (maybe with her large breast) but we do know her father was midlander and Minfillia looks midlander for the most part.

Anyways, we only have one confirmed mid-highlander mix in Hildebrand's parents, so maybe they take after the parent of the same gender?

Minfilia (Ascilia) is a child in Ul'dah in your first encounter (Ul'dah Mainplot 1.0) via the Echo. Her father is Warburton - a Midlander clansman from Ala Mhigo and a member of the Ala Mhigan Resistance, presumably along with Gundobald and Widargelt which would imply he helped establish Little Ala Mhigo but they never really expounded on Warburton and it is fuzzy where they were going with the original storyline - had a much more FFVI/FFXII feel and direction than the current plot.

Minfilia herself is potentially a child between two clans (Highlander mother & Midlander father) - but her mother is never really mentioned nor is it addressed. She was raised more or less by her "adoptive" mother F'lhammin who is also potentially mixed race (Sunseeker & Moonkeeper). She's between the ages of 7 & 9 as Ascilia, and is the Acting Antecedent by the age of 16 or 17, putting her at 22 or 23 after the Calamity - putting her age at roughly 25 by the end of A Realm Reborn potentially? (Not sure here.)

He look like a Highlander to me. No eyebrows, if I see it right.
Why Minfilia looked like a Midlander during 1.0? Because there was no female Highlander model during that time.

Also, he died 15 minutes after the game started.

I can't see any highlander in Minfilia. I just always assumed she's a midlander.

Never play on 1.0, but this is really escalated quickly...

Also if you people already doing last year Halloween, Minfilia totally doing female midlander emote like Kan-E-Senna.
