Animus fates...

These three fates can take longer than the rest of the book combined EASILY...and your not even doing anything, just sitting there wishing the stupid thing would spawn and not daring to leave or you will miss it. I don't mind grinding, but requiring me to sit around doing nothing is silly.

It's not like atmas (another issue entirely) where you hit any fate, we need a specific one. I feel these fates should have faster spawn times to make up for this. This has probably been said a lot before, but FATE based content can get very frustrating when you are left waiting for a specified fate at a specified spot to spawn that may take several hours of you doing nothing to happen...

Yeah it sucks but I believe with 2.3 they increases the rate book fates spawn. What I do is if I have enemies to kill in the same area as a fate I need I'll kill those enemies while waiting for fate. If it still doesn't pop go a round and do the other fates in the area. This will help other fates to spawn as well. Before 2.3 I was waiting 4 hours a day for 2 weeks waiting on Giant Septs to pop. The day 2.3 dropped I waited 5 minutes for it and it popped. Just stick with it and don't stress out about it. It'll pop eventually.

Buy another base relic from the Calamity Salvager, Zenith it and do fates surrounding the one your camping to see if you can get an atma toward your next one. No muss no fuss and no need to worry about all your timers resetting since all you need to do is switch weapons rather than jobs.

I feel like the fates for each book spawn together.... I did the determination book for BLM, and after waiting forever I was able to do two of them back to back, and missed the 3rd by seconds...

For my next book I did two of them back to back, and have been waiting for the third one for well over an hour. I am betting I missed it when I was in the other zones.

Agreed, I've done all three within minutes of eachother so as long as the areas fate max isn't reached I believe they spawn within a certain amount of time with eachother.

On that note i usually grind enemies in the same location or look for hunt marks to keep me busy. Or just window mode and watch a movie?

I have been stuck with Sebak twice in one week, once on daily hunt and once on book. It takes over an hour to spawn on Excalibur server which is a waste of everyone's time. I want to be playing the game not waiting around. This is starting to feel like King camping in FFXI. Please increase the spawn rate of hunt and book FATE before it kills the fan base. Thank you.

while i had fun with fates as well, after about the 5th book i clicked on (when seeing prices of materia) that killing the enemies around helps to
- SB gear
- Raise chocobo level or weekly achievement award

While waiting for fates I mine, botany, chocobo bonding (although, it's got to be in a high enough level area), equip a Zenith weapon (purchased from a calamity scavenger) and farm atma for my next atma weapon, raise people who shout for help, hunt when hunt marks are called, finally eat real food, read my mail, talk to my kids, text friends, check Facebook, Google stuff I might need for other stuff... True, if you just stand there, it can get very boring and seem like forever between spawns.
