Materia Bag: Materia is offender #1 in terms of clutter. It's basically mandatory to dedicate a retainer entirely to its collection. Give us somewhere else to put it all.
Agreed, these would all be great at clearing the clutter.

I'd also recommend moving things like venture tokens and beast tribe currencies to the already-existing currency window. (This wouldn't free up nearly as much space as any of the things you suggested, but it would free up some and would keep things more logically organized.)

Given the number of different crafting components, having all of it continuously available would likely lead to the same memory problems as adding more inventory space. I do think, however, they could simplify the retainer inventory a great deal if they had a special materials warehouse or something in the cities, where we could bring up an inventory of all our crafting materials by item category, storing them there in much the same way we store items with our retainers.

Instead of having a fixed number of item slots that could be filled with anything, it would have a number for how many NQ and HQ items we have for each crafting component. I hate when I have to re-organize which retainer is holding which item types because one of them ran out of room. With this, we could instead open the "Cloth" drawer or the "Metals" drawer or whatever, and find all the items of that type we've placed there. Each section could be sized to hold all the crafting components of that type that the game has, and we'd always know where to find any of them.
