question about Lv 42 fisher

i`m a Lv42 fisher,now i`m usually fishing at G5 points around Bald Knoll coast.
but the exp is only about 170 per time. is that normal?
i am using Floating Minnow and -4 depth.
what i want is to be Lv50 as soon as possible,if you have better place. plz let me know.

Thats what the SP is for fishing at that rank. Do leves with guardians favor, do sidequests on a DOW/M and change to Fisher before you turn them in, turn in GC/Story quests on fisher, all that SP adds up.

Yeah man, grinding DoL past 40 sucks now. used to be able to fish grade 10 and level up that way, but now I get nice results with the 2 lvl40 leves (for my BTN anyway). if you dont need guild marks i say use ul'dah since Iron lake is too long of a hike to make it worth it. using a Chocobo/Return pattern to loop through halatali leves makes it right quick!

I was wondering the same thing myself. I do Iron Lake though, however. Mainly to choco from limsa and spearfish near Cedarwood. Although as said above Iron Lake is indeed quite the hike... I may just do the Halatali leves...

Sorry but you can expect about 140-150 sp till 50 until they add more higher level nodes. But youre almost there! Spend some time stocking up on fish used in cooking recipes. Looks like fishing isgoing to bevery involved with next patch. Good luck

My anima builds up fast enough that I just tele to Iron Lake and return when the 2 leves and 2 spear nodes are done.

Rinse repeat and sometimes just sit there and grind for awhile.

If you don't want to set Iron Lake as a favored location you can also just bind there and teleport to Limsa for the cheap back and forth. Then just hit return for Iron Lake, its what I do for Botany leves at Treespeak.

And remember Sweat of Brow... It will double your XP when it activates. I know you need to get Botanist to level 25 but it is so worth it as it will also help you with raising mining.
