WHM combat stance.

I was checking WHM pose animations again with skills and noticed how after casted Aero III, whm grabs the staff with both hands and I totally thought that it should be the WHM combat stance pose, don't you agree? Please SE ; ;

That's a very fitting combat stance for WHMs. All I can imagine happening if SE made that the actual animations is:

1) Everyone Else: "WTF, WHY DO ONLY WHMS GET NEW COMBAT POSE OMG /UNSUBSCRIBE"
2) The Majority: "WTF, WHM COMBAT STANCE LOOK SO PUSSY NOW LOL BRING BACK OLD ANIMATION PLZ"
3) The Minority: "I think it's kinda cool!" The Majority: "NO, SCREW YOU SCRUB GO BACK 2 <insert game here>"

Yeah... White Mages could do with a more defensive looking style. As they currently stand ready for combat, they look ready to get punched in the face. They're in no position to parry, they're hardly in a position that is comfortable for long periods of time, and they just look... rigid. Compare to Black Mage that looks not only ready to defend themselves, but also has their weapon and focus, their primary form of defense, over their body. A Black Mage is ready for combat, is ready to get close if that is what it takes, and that is the last thing any Black Mage wants to do. So... yeah, we could use some new animations over here.

A combat stance I would like to see for WHM is the stance from that one dude in The Vault. The final boss of that dungeon has a pretty sweet battle stance.

I like to think of the WHM combat pose while idle as functioning like the Bright Wizard Staff in Vermintide, one hand to hold the staff, the other pulls the magic out to be used for some things that aren't directed through the staff itself.

To be fair, have you ever seen a PLD sprint (with their weapon out)? They look so ridiculous. XD I know it's not a combat stance, but I think it needs a change too, lol.

They're talking about the combat pose not the idle pose. The combat pose looks like Gandalf or something.

Sometimes if you parry as WHM, you will get stuck in the 2 handed pose from the original FF14...it's beautiful.

Luckily I got a pic of the pose incased in ice too
