I have a question: why does bulge slider matter at all, when you're going to be wearing armored pieces, pants, robes, and the like that will completely cover it up? That's only going to matter if your male character will be in his underwear 99% of the time. You could argue the same with butts, but at least your character's shape will still be defined, regardless of the equipment. I've also never understood how bulge size = breast size. Breasts are not reproductive organs, nor have the same functions.![]()
While I am not especially invested in this topic overall, as someone who has had the trauma of levelling a tall Elezen male caster in a group full of shorter friends I can attest to the plethora of tights, halfrobes and peculiar trousers worn throughout the ARR dungeons which make your bulge (or lack thereof) extremely visible to those around you. Furthermore a lot of players with female characters do keep their ladies in their underwear a lot of the time, and the male Roegadyn population of Eorzea certainly have a few adherents to the same philosophy amongst their ranks.
Having said that, I am happy with the way my character's package looks. Ahem.
I need sliders for males.
FOR REASONS.

Personally, I'd be perfectly happy if we just got a unisex butt slider, but I mean. I wouldn't say NO to having a bulge option. Fair's fair and all that.
I really thought this was a troll post, but I'm baffled to realize people are serious about this.
This must be the most useless suggestion ever made in history. You're trying to sexualize the game in a way that's absolutely unnecessary.
You're calling this an "equal" option for males because females have BREAST sliders? Well, I'm sorry but breasts ARE a MAJOR aesthetic shape feature of women and theres just such a huge range in size (and the boob slider doesnt even allow actual HUGE boobs)
and you will the see the shape of boobs pretty much always no matter what gear you are wearing, the same cant be said about bulges if we are going by REALISTIC measurements.
On top of that. An "equal" slider to female breast slider would be a male breast slider, for, y'know, MANBOOBS. Cos they exist. But they arent considered attractive, thats why you dont want it.
If you want a BULGE slider, then thats the same as asking for a camel toe slider for women or to ask for female character's bra to be removed whenever they unequip their chest piece, so
we can show our bare chests equally just like male characters can (sans nipples, that is).
But thats completely ridiculous and unnecessary and overly sexual. (nope,im not prude but this is a fantasy MMORPG, not an adult game)
Due to the nature of things, it would also draw in a lot more trolls maxing out their bulges and harass female players and the likes.
I sure hope SQEX wont listen to incredibly stupid ideas like this and actually invests their development time in a more meaningful/useful way.
I know I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but whatever, dont care.

No, thank you ^^a This kind of thing surprised me at the time too.
I am all about aesthetics and I wouldn't say no to more shapely characters if it made them look more natural, but I couldn't relate to the idea of actually asking for even the "butt" feature - at least not with the amount of determination and persistence that people put into it. When it was suggested that they were considering it, rather than feeling any sense of happiness for an updated creator, I just immediately felt embarrassed for being a part of the NA community who "really wanted it" as I believe Yoshi put it. I wonder how he must have felt.
But this just took it to an even more extreme level. Though I don't know, maybe that's my bias as a male simply not finding that attractive in the slightest - realism be damned.
