server transfer, can't select my character

So I'm on the mog station, said my goodbyes left my Fc
am trying to use the transfer service, i can select my destination world, but cannot select any character or my current world in the field below.

Any ideas what I can do, what's going on?

never mind, figured it out whilst being a emotional mess, mods you can delete this....

Do you already have a character on that world. If you do and don't haven't purchased the 8 characters per world then you can't transfer. You can only have one character per world.

Hmmm, if I recall you can't be in a linkshell, have stuff on the market board, own a plot, or FC membership. Perhaps one of those things is keeping your character from showing up?

Did you leave your FC, stop selling any items on your retainers, pick up any items from calamity NPC, etc.

Bet the destination and source realms were swapped around.

I think I might know what you were talking about - I had a similar issue at first. Is it a problem with the drop-down menus on "destination world" and "current world"? You have to hit the "confirm" button first after selecting the destination world, and only after confirming can you select your current world (it doesn't appear in the dropdown before clicking confirm). I apologize if that sounds confusing, it was a bit weird when I did it, and I'm not sure if you're having the same issue.

I wasn't thinking straight at all, I was expecting 1confirmation button after I'd filled in all the fields, but figured out you have to click confirm on each field then click the bigger "yeah I wanna move" button.

I was an emotional mess as this move is me taking a big chance on my eorsean future.
