As we all know a lot people are going to be leaving the game soon so the population in each server might get pretty low for a while. I think it would be nice if they were able to combine a few of the servers to maintain a healthy population.

what? no...i like Footai!
Maybe if we get a Noomy world... ^.^
Ninja Edit:
I wonder why they didnt change the server names to the ingame gods... seems like an good idea.
I used to be Noomy...then i took shiva's Hail Storm to my knee...

No thanks the lag is bad enough. its like a godsend maintenance ends and hardly anyone is on, then everyone gets on and we have the typical lags.

I honestly never lag

I really think they should transfer to the new servers with new UI and then start changing and adding content. Those things will make it so we can actually play...I would pay for that!
please do merge. Honestly more people is a good thing in this game ;.;

One thing they may be planning to do with the changes to 2.0 is make one giant server like Star Trek Online has. in STO, you are known as character@playerhandle, and if you'll notice in the concept screenshot posted in the 2.0 stuff, the players all have @something after their names. The way it works in STO is a zone can hold x amount of players, and once that zone is filled, another copy of the zone is created. This allows for zones not becoming too overpopulated, while also allowing the entire playerbase of the game to have the chance to interact with everyone else. I personally love that kind of server structure and hope that is what SE is planning for this game.

Wow, it has to be your guys connection. I have never lagged in FFXIV and the times I did was cuz of my modem. If you are on wireless it could be interference. Not everything is FFXIV server problem.
