Agreed, that would make the weapons look more interesting. Only problem would be items with multimelds, you'd have to mix the colors somehow I guess.

This sounds great, so long as it is tasteful, like Frostbite, and the subtle effect shown whenever you do ice damage. I LOVE the subtlety, I hate other mmo's that make your entire character glow bright red/green/blue when you enchant/slot/enhance your gear.I apologize for resurrecting such an old thread, but this information from the dev. team fits perfectly here!
In regards to your suggestion about changing the graphics for equipment that have materia attached to them, it would be necessary to prepare new graphic data, so we won’t be able to do this right away; however, we would like to look into whether we can add something visually appealing (such as effects and what not) for 2.0.
The ifrit weapons are also very tastefully done. Bravo.
