The Warden's Paean should change to be counterpart of MCH's Dismantle/Rend Mind

Bard and Machinist have same position in party. However, only thing that BRD can't do the same as Machinist is damage migration. The Warden's Paean is useless action in present from long cast time and very situation effect when compare with MCH's Dismantle/Rend Mind. It should change to be counterpart of MCH's Dismantle/Rend Mind for raise them equally. When MCH debuff foe for damage migration, dev can do opposite for BRD by change The Warden's Paean to damage migration party buff instead same as they can use Mantra from PUG for support party. This will make them equal to MCH's Dismantle/Rend Mind from Mantra (healing buff can think as one of migration tool) + damage migration song.

Note: Although Foe Requiem can increase only magical damage, but they have higher effect more than Hypercharge (with and without Battle Voice). Moreover, it have longer duration (from draining MP) and easier control (can turn on and off anytime). This still make them balancing.

Because that's exactly what we need, more homogenization.

It'd be better to buff paean tbh.

I'd be okay with this, anything is better than the waste of a hotbar space we have now.

Idk I like Paean. It's almost non-existent during Raids (there are specific times it can be used). But I like to use it for places like in Diadem, when fighting the Star Brachi, it casts random DoTs on players. Casting it on yourself and being immune to the DoT like a baus is nice.

If MCH gets something in return that lowers an enemies' evasion at negligible DPS loss to them as RoD is, sure.

Dehomogenize their gameplay before you homogenize their utilities. Otherwise we might as well just call them reskinned BRDs.

While we're at it. Could you combine Rend Mind and Dismantle into one ability so MCH's don't get a level up that basically gives them no ability at all?

MCH's have 3 sets of skills that all share cooldowns while doing a virtually identical effect. (Bind/Heavy no damage, Ranged silence/Melee stun same potency, and a SMN/SCH Virus split into two abilities) None of them being incredibly fun or compelling to actually use.

Both of these classes really got the shaft in Heavensward. They have nothing really worth bringing to the table except for their Regen auras. Which we can all agree are amazingly useful, but they're significantly lacking elsewhere. For the love of Ultima, MCH's don't have Second Wind, a movement ability, or a defensive cooldown (except for cross classing Keen Flurry, whoopie).

Bards aren't exactly overflowing with defensive abilities either, but yeah at least they can use Second Wind.

Wardens Paean can do with some change. As it stands, its really pointless. Used once on the Warrior before the pull and then never again for a fight.

However, please dont kid yourself over Foes (+battle voice) vs hypercharge. Foes is better. Bards still boost the out going damage of the group more than Machinists, but this is at the cost of their MP which is required for other songs as well. On MCH the cost is that it can buff either physical or magic damage for approx 23 secs every 2 mins. Buffing magic damage costs you your own dps on MCH due to no longer havng reduced physical defence on the mob. BRD is also far more flexible when it can use Foes. You can switch it on for a bit and then switch it off. MCH is pretty much stuck using it in a far stricter way as its an integral cooldown used for personal, as well as raid, dps.

With the above, if Bard got a clone of Machinists abilities Dismantle/Rend Mind, then yes, Machinist Hypercharge should get changed to give it the flexibility that Bard has with Foes, and this is a huge advantage with Bard in groups.
