To make them all uniform, so it's easier to implement, mostly.
Outright changing the potency of all from 200 to 300 could also work (with no DoT).

Another possibility would be to make it so Garuda-Egi's Enkindle (as well as every other new Egi) had a DoT associated to it, as well as reducing its potency from 250 to 200...but it'd be a bit too much work to make an "exclusive" DoT for every single one introduced from there.

At least IMO.

The last thing Egi's need is homogenization. I, for one, am glad that there is a difference between Garuda and Ifrit's Enkindle.

Because Maim is 190 and Skull Sunder is 200, BB combo would be the same potency as a Storm's Eye combo. This wouldn't force you to use either for max dps, but rather give you a choice.

when u hit 'edit post' look for the 'Go Advanced' button in the bottom right area, hit it and u can rename the title from there

The changes to BRD make me cringe and cry at the same cos how bad it is... If this was what BRD became with 3.0, I think there would have been a Warriolitengers Civil War breaking out. It's so godamn awful, worse than the current state... only a person who hasn't played end-game with BRD would ever suggest this... oh look, L50 BRD.
