OK real fast what the heck is that thing on the side of the astro wen u equip the weapon what is the purpose I don't remember anything explainiong the puepose

If you mean that sword-like object on the AST's hip, if you look closely, it's actually a holder for your cards (you can see the cards held in sleeves one above the over). It's an odd way of handling them but given the AST weapon already looks like a shield when not in use, I'm wondering if the AST Star Globe simply uses the base GLA/PLD weapon model when in passive mode to save system resources. But I digress.

Yeah, as mentioned it's just a card hold. It's probably a left-over from early concept art that the devs liked and kept


... although it doesn't seem to be too practical since a smaller case seem to work just fine. Maybe they intended it to go on the arm too in the battle pose, but scrapped it due to looking too much like Yugioh?
