Kicked from Dungeon...?

I was in one of the easier dungeons, healing as a lvl 32 Scholar, when near the beginning I was suddenly kicked and received the message, "You have been dismissed from both party and duty"... For no particular reason. I had said "hi" at the very beginning, but no one had said anything back. The fairy was doing all the healing and I was helping the DPS.... I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. What are the reasons for being kicked from a dungeon like this? It's the first time this has happened to me.

Someone of the other three people initiated a votekick against you and the majority (one other person in 4 mans) clicked yes, essentially.

Basically there are a bunch of trolls who against the healer DPS meta. They seem to run in packs as well. Ran into a few while levelling and dps would refuse to attack if I was dpsing and the tank wouldnt build aggro. I didnt feel like taking the 30 minute penalty so I would just occasionally cast stoneskin on the tank and nothing else the whole run.

The game gets finicky at times. I've been randomly dropped from a group that I was running with FCmates. I figured there wasn't a kick vote as my FCmates wouldn't have kicked me and they were just as surprised I was gone as well.

A hiccup in your connection may cause it, too.

Agreed, you were likely kicked to allow entrance for a friend. It's unfair but I know people who do it plenty to get friends quick clears for dailies.

It's doubtful it has anything to do with the healer dps meta if you kept the pt going flawlessly. I always dps as healer and it usually gets me comms and appreciation from pts. The only ppl who hate healer dps are healers who don't want to dps. This is the first time I ever heard this happen if the healer kept everyone alive and did their job well. If you prioritize dps and let ppl drop, yes you will get hate. No dps gets you more hate and snide comments than not. But if this is true I am sure it was an isolated event or, more like, exaggerated.

A few people in my FC have been getting kicked out of leveling dungeons from level 1-47, with the party making it very clear that they don't want them (as a healer) to DPS. One even had a tank tell them, during a boss fight in Tamtara, "If you want to DPS, you can Tank too." and sat there, with the DPS, doing nothing, until my FC-mate was KO-ed. My FC-mate continued to DPS through out the Dungeon just to spite them, then got vote-kicked at the last boss.

From what he said, they all had one or more job at 60, with one of the DPS even having WHM at 60.

If those people kicked you from a party for DPSing instead of standing there doing nothing while Eos/Selene did all the healing, then put them on your Blacklist as they will not be very good people to group with for later and harder content anyway.
