TLDR: This works if people call out tracks, but many aren't.

I agree that this is the best method if different groups work together. However many parties are afraid of not getting credit so they don't /shout out star rank mobs or they /yell to another party they've teamed up with. I've been many times and see it to often if I'm on Ptero island of people saying don't /shout next time 'blah blah blah'.

It's true that under the old system there was usually a full zone with 9 parties and it was harder to get credit. Now with only 5-6 parties in a zone even during prime diadem times it is much easier to meet the DPS threshold. Last run we had a DPS D/C early and only missed out credit on one star that wasn't shouted out and we came across when it was a little over half health.

How many chests did you guys get? We found that the best run we had was with 5 groups all farming the same 3 isles with the V's (pteros and pelican + Celphie while waiting for ptero) I don't think your method is the best as I've already tried that in many other Diadems and what happens is people pop the S rank early or flight time is too much of a time waste.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter who gets tracks, its still better to stay together.

with 5 groups doing this, we were able to get 10 NMs, and that was with the first 20 minutes wasted trying to figure things out. So I think it could have easily been 11.

As a crafter, I would want grade 5 materia from handing in those i150 and i180, and you get a lot more in a coordinated alliance than trying to get random people in normal or easy mode to cooperate.

As a side note, you can circumvent the 1000 character limit by editing your post. Like you can fit all of your posts in one post:

Absurd expectation. Dont split the farm. Efficient farmers miss credit because of
1. Ninjapops
2. Splits
3. Split ninjapops
... (pulled adds who do sleep/para/death, provoke)

What people are starting to do is farm the pteradons that are rank V they spawn in the western part of Diadem and they're really easy mobs to kill we got 11 gold chests that night with my FC.

Pros: Mobs don't do any nasty mechanics, just a small tiny circle aoe and a cone line, you follow a circle pattern so once you finish the pattern there's always one up all the time, virtually no down time.

Cons: Only works if people are communicating together, people don't know the route and get lost as ones up really high in the sky, if someone ninja pulls an NM on a small island you're basically screwed having to deal with 2 NM monsters.

We tried Celphie island to compare mob kill times and we got 3-4 chests more than what we'd usually get in a night, the best run on Celphie island I had was maybe 8 chests. Last week through Ptereadons we got 12 chests.

Get 5 grade 5 battle materia -> transmute and pray to RNGesus -> crafting V materia

Transmuting is the only way to get grade 5 craft materia, and the best way to have a chance is with rank 5 battle
