    I don't understand why people complain about a job/class when they yet to have really played it. Your Drk is 31, mine is at 60. And I've done Bismark EX/All of Alex with Drk with NO ISSUES. I'm not 'hardcore' like people who have done A4S, but I have a FC member who has, as well as Thordain EX, and I've never heard an issue from him about it.

    Also there are a lot of Drks who refuse to use both Darkside/Grit at the same time, let alone even using just one of them at points. With both up you do 95% of your normal damage. Warrior and Paladin have a bigger decrease in their damage output with tank skills up. All Drk has to worry about is their MP usage, which I will say that I see a LOT of players not know what the bloody hell they're doing and just let Darkside run out time and time again due to horrible MP usage.

    It's kind of hard to take people seriously when they complain about/make suggestions for other classes they have yet to play (With the new classes, I honestly blame SE for LETTING us start at level 30, so a lot of people don't know what the hell they're doing)

    I main DRK and I have done some endgame. I have never had any of these problems. I think DRK is fine just the way it is. Sure, it I would like to see some buffs. But I don't think anything you mentioned makes the job broken. I agree with Bacent, they should have had the new jobs start at level 1. That would have helped so many people learn how to play these jobs. When I was leveling DRK I actually went through and did all the dungeons starting with Sastasha and worked my way up, just so I could work with all the skills.

    I'm not finding any real issues with DRK. Mine is only 59 but I plan to hit 60 today.

    I have no problem with using the living dead. Normally I use it, and get boosted back up to full anyways. Being a white mage getting a dark knight back up isn't that big of an issue, if they do need it I usually do my burst heal / PoM and they're good to go.

    I never cared about the darkside effect. Sometimes I do but normally I don't notice it with all the extra stuff going on. The black flames would just get lost in all that's already going on. Now idle standing around I do admit that the darkside bugs my eyes, but I just turn it off. I imagine that flames would do the same thing.

    Friend of mine said DRK feels very slow. It's about the animation, at least what I've noticed, I'm trying to level all 3 just got addicted to DRK. PLD felt faster but I realized it was because he's swinging his sword faster..that's all.

    I've never had issues with healing a DRK because he was a DRK. This is strictly from a healers standpoint as a SCH / WHM and now playing AST. The issue is gear and people being so used to being over powered. They have STR gear that lowers their HP while at the same time their iLV is still under for the dungeon mixed with them pulling more mobs than what their VIT at that time can handle. I've been guilty of this and I've caught plenty of tanks who are as they level up. I've had to go back and get some more gear or switch that STR with VIT or...slow...down? Don't pull 12 mobs...otherwise you-sa people gunna die.

    1. Living Dead is a weak alternative to Hallowed Ground and Holmgang in PUG situations because healers are not required to know what the icon means, and some healers are more suited to removing Walking Dead than others. Honestly, the biggest issue is that Living Dead is not an ability you control in the end. This is fine in a controlled static situation, but in dungeons it gets hairy.

    2. This is hardly something that needs to be fixed.

    3. At 60, you have so many oGCDs and things to keep track of... how can this feel like a slow tank, aside from the animations? Paladin plays slow. Dark Knight does not.

    4. Dark Knight has strengths and weaknesses in CDs much like Paladin and Warrior do. I personally believe the class could use some work, but they are definitely not a "weak" class or a "squishy" tank when played correctly.

    I feel what a lot of people miss on this is dark knight tank is sort of a hybrid of Warrior and a Paladin and unless they are familiar with both they don't see the aspects of it. Does it attack slower then pally yes but it has slightly less then delay then warrior on main hand attacks so its a hair faster then warrior in that aspect. is it gonna be squishier then paladin and warrior? from lvl 45-49 probably since you don't get Artifact gear like paladin and warrior did. Paladin has a shield which overrides parry first and then parry on top of it. Warrior has only parry like Dark knight. Warrior has a higher hp pool in tank stance then Dark knight or paladin . Paladin and dark knight have huge damage reduction in tank stance compared to warrior. Dark knight and Warrior have life steal paladin does not. You just have to remember the class has its differences and find the best way to work with what it has.
