"what is the black list feature"Yes, except that if someone walks up to me and sees this feature on, or sees that they can't duel me, it opens me up to being harassed, called various names for not being open for a duel or declining, being emoted at, having spells cast at me, or my mobs stolen from me if I'm farming or questing.
Someone else said this is in nearly every other MMO out there... go play THAT ONE if you want PVP outside instances so badly. Sheesh.
"what is the report feature"
The same thing you described is possible with any version, duty finder or not
I genuinely don't want open world pvp. I'd like it in a coliseum where I can spectate it and everything. THat would be very fun!
thats sunds cool, a coliseum where a party can fight other, and 1 vs 1, and whatever we want
Speaking from experience with MMOs that have features like this (ACE Online, Mabinogi, etc.)
Generally the people who do stuff like this are few and far between; if they even exist at all. ACE was a very PvP-centric game with a heavy grinding aspect and even then I RARELY saw people go out of their way to duelspam someone and then harass them over it just because they had dueling disabled, and the few people who did do it were shunned out of the community for being asshats.
I'm not for or against dueling in the open world (I feel like it should be relegated to specific areas, like TT is), I'm just putting it out there.
They are different communities though. So who knows, in the end you can always just report them for harassment.
To say we could play another game to get the same experience just because it has one feature we want this game to have is a logical fallacy, so please stop arguing it. I don't want to play another game. I quite like this one, and no other game is as this one is. The only way I will get the dueling content I am craving is if FFXIV implements duels. And I'm sure this goes for nearly every proponent of duels, here, too.
I have to explain this every time this topic comes up...
On a related topic, as I've also said in the past, I don't even care if it's not open world dueling. I'd be more than happy with a zone - a colosseum room of which we have, what, two already in-game, largely unused - where players can duel one another. Give me an option to challenge friends and strangers alike to 1v1 PvP combat, regardless of where it need take place, and I will be more than happy. At the risk of speaking for others, I'd even bet that most people who want dueling implemented feel similarly.

I vote for duels.
We don't need them to address mechanic imbalances and Q.Q smn so OP, Drg single target dps so OP.
But duels, duels would be fun. Something to pass the time while we are actually in a queue tying to do something else.
Most other games have the duel mechanic, I don't see it as a hard thing to implement. Its not like we don't see skill spams in the cities.
Side note, Duels should be allowed in "The Lightfeather Proving grounds".
Maybe players can reserve duel times like in FFXI, that way their FC's can view the spectacle and wager.
Characters can idle there and view the spectacle.
Vietnamese casinos can open and place bets with players against house champions, etc etc.
