Can we share Macros with friends, and others?

I've created quite a lot of different Macros for tanking, healing, dps, etc. Some also just for fun.

While I'm playing with some friends who are new to the game, I'm telling them that they should make some of these Macros.

It would be great, if I could just "trade" with them a macro, or mail them the macros. I can't type it into the chat, so I've used Skype to send it as a message, but it would be great to use it in game, so that they can take full advantage.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

A great way to do this is to simply copy and paste your Macro to an internet clipboard like: http://http://wepaste.com/ , and share. Hope this helps.

On a similar note I would really like cross-platform backup/restores for settings. I play on PS4 and one of the main things discouraging me from spending any real time on another platform is that I would have to redo all of my macros, settings, gear sets and interface customisation and keep both 'in sync' over time. It doesn't have to be automatic or real-time, just a feature I can initiate from the character selection screen whenever I want to sync my settings with the server. It would be so nice!

While I'm not disagreeing with your idea, if you're regularly wanting to show your macros to friends, would it not be even easier to set up a FAQ page they can visit and copy/paste the macros that way? I'm guessing they will want to understand the macro and customise it a little too.

It would be really nice if we can save and load our configurations on the servers with a manual click (no auto-save all time of course) as a backup or to transfer the datas to another platform type.

When I've needed to do it, I copied the macro and added /l or whatever was applicable to the front of each line, then hit the button.
