I don't know you guys, but for me this game is more than a Beta. Seeing the world evolving, having experiences that nobody will ever have once 2.0 will be released, helping the Dev team giving our feedback, hear the people's voices,...

This is more than a Beta for me, and I can say I've spent the best 70 bucks I've ever spent. I can't stand a day to not login and help the people and the Dev team!

Just because there is a lot of content doesn't mean the game is finished. There is a reasonable amount of stuff to do in the game, but the way the game PLAYS on a fundamental level, the amount of errors in the game, how poorly it is optimized, the "rough" UI, the action delay, the animation lag, all of that stuff is indicative of problems of games in the BETA stages, not launch status.

Who are you to say whether I pay for this as a charity?

Call me a fanboy if you want, but I find this game has reached a point where I can be comfortable, if only just at that point (1.21 would've made me subscribe no problem) to pay.

That's fine. A lot of people are willing to pay for a lot of different things. But at the core of the people up in arms about this, is a concern for the game because they don't have the same value in it as you do. They don't want to see more people leave a game which they want to see succeed.

Do you really want to see that? Watch the lower populated servers turn into ghost towns... increase how long it takes to find groups even LONGER? It's a dubious decision for the GAME, whether or not an individual keeps playing by paying, for the game as a whole it's going to sting.

First of all, no MMOs except dead ones are finished. Such a big load of tripe with that excuse. There is more than enough good content in XIV right now to keep everyone interested and playing. Don't think so? Then why are you here? Why do you play?

Second, who cares if a group of people who have no intention of supporting this game leave? How is not bringing in any revenue and allowing people to play for free for another year going to help the game succeed? Read your last paragraph. You really don't give a rat's ass about the development process or SE. You care about finding groups faster. Selfishness. Entitlement. Immaturity. Please go reflect on yourself for a while.

I would say his initial 60-80$ investment was help. As was his willingness to continue playing when the game flopped. If you don't think they kept the servers up for the past year to get free testers from the community your smoking some good shit. And any post he has ever made that paints the game in a negative or posative light is the very definition of feedback. You amaze me, you basically call the guy a freeloader for playing and not paying. What the hell do you think it is YOU have been doing?
