i can almost guarentee people who got this at launch and didnt immediately put it back down have played well over 50-100 hours EACH
and any of those who still say they didnt get their moneys worth are full of it

I never played the game this long. And yes, I am saying I did not get my money's worth. If i could have returned the game to gamestop I would have.

I blame Hiromichi Tanaka on just about on every single thing that has went wrong with BOTH MMO's, he could have put out FUN games instead of a laughable timesink grindfests when other MMO's were focusing on fun. He is everything that went wrong with this company, the guy is stuck in his own little world while living 10+ years in the past. He never played the competition, didn't even bother to study the competition and oh, by the way, repeated every single mistake plus more from FFXI and somehow even managed to make it worse 8+ years later with XIV. Tanaka is a joke when it comes to MMO design, I don't care if they had to cut corners because the higher ups wanted the game out, the game could have still been fun and not loaded with horrible grind and just horrible design choices.

I hope someone from SE reads this because i'm not some random troll on the internet, I remember buying the first FF on the NES back when I was like in 5th grade and have supported the title since the beginning. I have watched the brand that is Final Fantasy go from the golden age to now the dark ages and I hope to god they can restore the quality the brand deserves by turning around what showed much potential and promise.

Fixed and yes we do. Reduce subscription fee or don't charge unless a game is completed. Rpg game should be treated as a pass/fail and not an emotional roller coaster just because they're a fan of a company.

no that is what you are doing..... many are thinking in a rational manner, we already bought the game, some of us have been here since Alpha and are still here, it is not a matter of being a fanboy or blind, it is a matter of being able to see the bigger picture, even though the artist is not done painting.

I will pay the monthly fee, and fiddle with the game now and then, and once 2.0 comes out, I will really dig into it, until then I have many other games to play..... over 200 to be exact.

Let's do the math for a moment. You claim to want to be compensated for a game you paid 60 dollars for and only received 50% at best. That's a perfectly logical standpoint, You want the full product that you paid for. Now, Considering that Square Enix deemed the game incapable of play, They offered you a full year of game time for free while they fixed issues, And I quote "Until the time comes when we feel the game is eligible for pay to play subscriptions again." Notice that doesn't say, YOU feel. THEY feel.

So. Here's the math.

Full Game: $60 Dollars (According to you, it was 65 for me after tax.)
Full Year For 1 Character Subscription: $120 Dollars (AT 9.99 a month for the basic 1 character.)

Hummmm, Seems they compensated your money back plus double. What are you complaining about? It's not a matter of "I want my money back or a game of equal value!" They gave you more than the required money to purchase the product back. It's not up to you to determine how they do that, How often do you know a place that is willing to compensate you double what you put in for a product you didn't like? So it's in the form of playing the product you didn't like for free for a year. So what? How many times did you get to pick how you were compensated for a bad product, Bet it was zero.

The fact of the matter is, You can't yell, scream, complain, or bicker about wanting a product of equal value back. When you look at the value that was returned for a game that you didn't like, I think it's more than fair and adequate. On top of all of this, They said they would reinstate the subscriptions when THEY felt it was ready, Not you. You can yell the game is 50% complete all you want and it won't change that fact. I know quite a bit of people that are REALLY happy with where the new production team is going and are more than willing to pay for the current content let alone FUTURE content.

And for someone yelling about don't act high and mighty you sure do want to act like everyone around you is a brainless idiot. I think you should do a little practicing of what you preach.

You took that risk when you purchased an mmorpg knowing full well that you would not be able to return the product. There are countless MMORPG game boxes just sitting on my cabinet because they either went free to play or I just didn't like them. Am I upset and screaming on their forums about wanting content equal to what I paid for? No. I took that risk purchasing the game, It's not their fault I did zero research on whether I would like the game or not.

They also offer you a free 30 day trial after the purchase of the game to see whether you like it or not. You didn't like it. Walk away. Don't complain about wanting the game to be up to standards with what YOU feel it is. I could do that till I was blue in the face with how many mmorpgs I have sitting around collecting dust. The fact is, you knew the risk, You took it. Live with it and move on.

Seriously. You are being childish, now. You barely played, admit to have done so, and whine that you didn't get your full money's worth. Then, when others who have been playing consistently disagree with you, you act as if you are the authority on the game's quality. Anyone who doesn't share your outlook, you basically insult, then pretend you are some sort of victim of "fanboy" bullying. Grow up.

No one forced you to purchase the game. If you were too stupid to do any sort of investigation before buying, that is your own fault. Take some responsibility for your own failure.

People aren't agreeing to pay the sub because, how did you quaintly put it, "SE RULES!" They are doing so because they are enjoying the game, like what they see coming up and feel it is worth continuing playing. Just because you refuse to actually play, and as a result aren't having fun isn't a failure on others, or SE's part. Whining and insulting others for not sharing your dissatisfaction isn't going to suddenly inspire them to empathize with you.

Keep ranting if your life is just that lacking, but so far you haven't seemed to change anyone's opinion. You just show how immature you are behaving.
