FF14 freezing/crashing since patch

Hey all i was wondering if any PS4 players have experienced the game freezing suddenly since release of 3.1, it has never happened pre patch but post patch the game sometimes locks up completely upon teleporting to a new zone. The ps4 itself doesn't freeze and i can just close the game down and restart.

It's happened to me twice now. Same with a friend. x.x Hope it's fixed soon.

That's happened to me to a couple of times yesterday. Also today when I teleport after getting to the part of the ffxi event where your in uldah and need to get to upper la nosca that happened twice to me then to. Once on my main and once on my alt at the same part of the quest.

Yes, if you go to the bug forum you'll see it's been reported by numerous PS3 and PS4 players. It froze on me in Idyllshire 2 hours after update went live and all I was doing was running to attune to the new aetheryte. I posted a thread about it here in general after it happened. I'm on PS4. Only happened once to me so far. Someone posted in that thread saying they froze when teleporting. Today the game crashed on me with some error, but not sure if that was PS4 related or FFXIV itself as I was completely booted and the error message was from PS4 rather than a FFXIV error message. But the freeze issue was definitely the game as I could just quit and restart.

So basically it happens no matter what you are doing and seems to only be affecting console players.

EDIT: Okay, apparently it happens to PC players too, just never heard of that until below.

Has nothing to do with console im on PC just happened to me, Itd be like me asking if only pc players are having this issue

My BF has had his client crash twice now when he used his eternity ring. OP, you need to give description about the crash, the problem can't be fixed unless you explain how it happened.

Happened to me twice so far as well on ps4.

Once when teleporting to Tailfeather, other time after exiting fc house.

It got frozen in the black loading screen with that circular thing in the bottom frozen as well...

Has happened to me a total of 4 times since the patch. Twice in Void Ark, one in the Diadem, and once this morning just loading into Upper La Noscea for the FFXI event.

Hoping the emergency maintenance fixes it tonight. Really don't like having to forcibly power off my PS4
