    The devs really have their heads up their asses for this expansion. Are we supposed to celebrate a design plan of literally "obsolete upon inception?" From one item per chest to no gil from enemies to unfun new Job actions, it's gotten really aggravating lately. It was all cute and funny during ARR because the game was new, but it'd be nice to get real now.

    Yeah, I don't see why they made the drops the way they did when Law practically rains from the sky if you want 170/180 gear. Granted these are 185, but still. -_-

    Can we at least get rid of the potions, ethers, and elixirs, please?
    They rarely-if-not-ever see any use (because you designed them to be lackluster but that's another issue for a different thread...).

    The answer is very simple. Poor design choices don't mean poor revenue - We all still grind and pay for our subs no matter how intentionally stupid the artificial length of the game is made. They knowingly exploit that, nothing more.

    We're still going to be running these dungeons on the daily for Esoterics, there's a thin line between a grind and being burnt out and they're very quickly approaching that line. I know that I've been burnt out to the point of unsubbing temporarily, and that's something they fail to understand by making literally everything they implement a grind (even Triple Triad, which is meant to be "fun", but we're not allowed to have fun, Yoshido will not allow it).

    I just don't understand the logic.

    In 2.x, because of there being three Ex Roulette dungeons, the new glamour gear got divided up so each piece dropped in two dungeons, with pieces of each gearset being divided up into different dungeons (so you couldn't, for example, spam the same dungeon and get all pieces from one gearset). This meant that each dungeon had a smaller loot pool (2/3 of the total amount of gear), plus the last boss dropped two pieces IIRC, which meant it was slightly easier to get the particular piece you were after. To emulate a similar "ease" of acquiring gear -- that already then was outdated by the time it was released -- it would make sense to have more than one piece drop from chests.

    I concur the loot table is entirely too large. Likewise we have the accessories drops polluting the chests in-between in such a way they make it feel even worse. And the terrible thing is most of us just want the drops for glamouring <face-scrunch> I can't imagine how rage inducing people would be about the drops if they were actually trying to get the gear for equipment slots?!
