    Melding materia - Quick question

    If I have an item that I want to add materia to, can I trade the item, materia, and catalyst to a crafter and get them to meld it and then trade it back?

    I'm confused a little on how the system works

    You got it. Just make sure that the materia level can be fitted onto the gear item(level and gear type) also make sure to use the matter the materia states. Then just trade it to a crafter, the 1st materia is always 100% success... socketing beyond that~ good luck.
