Disgust is quite a strong word for something so minor. But many people I play with that started off with FFXIV as their first MMO think Brachiosaur is ridiculous, I'm willing to bet it's meant to be ridiculous. The idea of a dinosaur bringing down its own extinction, do you think the developers of FFVI sat down and thought "Yeah, this isn't a joke at all, people are going to take this super seriously", no, likely not. Final Fantasy is filled with silly things like the Cactuar, Moogles or Goobbues and that's why people love it. To say it disgusts you because people don't share the same taste in you is strange, you're just about the first Final Fantasy elitist I've met. Another thing, 99% of these suggestions are changing it for the worst. Implementing the Artifact system from Legion into the Anima weapons would be a great idea, and would only do to improve the system. Implementing a glamour log would only improve the game, implementing large scale raids would only improve the game, etc.
Regarding the MSQ, you do realize that the Warcraft has one of the most interesting and in depth lore in a video game franchise? It's leaps and bounds ahead of anything FFXIV could conjure up, which heavily on references and Allagan this Allagan that (although recently it's taken a poor turn), Void Ark has done to improve on non-Allagan lore, I can say that much. I've also seen plenty of complaints about the length of the MSQ from non-WoW players, I'm sorry but when you create a 50+ hour experience for 2.0 alone, and then have 80% of that be filler? Yeah, people are going to be peeved. Not only that, but then there's 2.1-2.55, which again, is 50% filler at the very least, then they have to through the entirety of Heavensward which at least is only 20-30% filler. You don't see why all of that might annoy me a new player?
PS. WoW has dinosaurs too, a lot of them actually. Far more than FFXIV has, and in places that make no sense similar to FFXIV too.
