Your whole argument seems to be "they are putting low effort into the things they put onto the cash shop, which is bad." Isn't that a good thing? Don't we want them to not put as much time and effort into the cash shop and focus on actual game improvements? I don't understand that argument at all.

Also, WoW DID have a tutorial for people who used a level boost. You weren't just dumped into the game with no idea what to do or how to do anything. There was a pretty extensive tutorial that taught people how to play their class. You should do more research into that before just spreading misinformation. Also, it's kind of a moot point, since FFXIV doesn't have level boosts, so who even cares?

There was? When I boosted my Rogue I got no tutorial from what I can remember, I just started out with a few skills but within 10 or so hours they threw all the skills right back at me, no tutorial of any sort? They do have the videos teaching you the basics of each class though, series is named Crash Course I believe.

WoW, for better or worse is one of the most successful MMOs ever, of course the devs would want their project to be like that, no one makes a game/project and aims for mediocrity. While, yes this may not be WoW, the success it has earned is nothing to scoff at and is a great goal to strive for

In the most critical ways for me FFXIV is better, but I wish we had the minion battles from WoW (including the wild minions). I get that people like the RTS, but it wasn't what I was looking for.

I mean yeah it has a story (which I don't care) but a story alone doesn't make it a FF game if you ask me: I came into this game because it looked and played good, but not because it looked like a Final Fantasy. And that's a good thing: I don't need to like the franchise to like a game and FFXIV kind of proves that even people like me can enjoy this game, even if I'm...a hater I guess? But that's a big word.

In the core itself, FFXIV is a WoW clone but does few things better than WoW (I guess storytelling? Can't tell though) and TONS worse than that game (I still can't do pretty much anything while in Queue and despite being an MMO, 99% of the activities require you to be alone....come on even SWTOR did story quests better than this!)

Agreed, don't get the WoW hate despite most RPGs being replicas of it in terms of many system attributes
