Achieving Best in slot items?

Hi there, It has been roughly a little bit less then a month in which I started playing ffXV. I am level 45 and getting close to finishing the main quest line. I hear that leveling 50 to 60 takes a pretty good amount of time. I was wondering how I would be able to achieve best in slot items from the raids and What I should be going for at the moment. Should I do the old raids or rush up to 60.

How do I arm up for the best in slot item raids? To get BiS items; are they all % drop rate or are they earned on consecutive wins in the raids? Thank you so much

You don't need to run any raids at all. You just need to run Diadem (basically zerg fest with multiple parties) at level 60 - all RNG drops.

What Item level is required for the exploratory missions?

SE hasn't exactly taken much care this tier. A lot of mistakes, invalidating the rewards from raids early being one of them. I think diadem is i179.

Since you are still at level 45 nothing much really for bis to do yet. Just go high ilvl and prefered substats as priority. Start thinking of bis once you hit 60.

I was going to recommend getting poetic gear once you're at level 50.. But do poetic tomes even drop anymore? I don't recall seeing any, unless it's just a level 50 thing with the old dungeons. If you can get yourself some poetic gear or gear from World of Darkness that will keep you pretty well set until around level 55 when the item level catches up. If that sounds confusing, at level 50 the highest item level gear is i130. However the level 51+ dungeons start out at item level i120. Level 53 dungeon gear is i130, and lv55 dungeon gear is i136. So you can make it nearly halfway to 60 using the old best in slot level 50 gear (poetic/world of darkness/final coil gear)
