I think we'll get an announcment next week, MAYBE two weeks. Almost certainly there will be an event.

I see a lot of people here complain but really I'm fine with the cash shop as long as they dont start adding a ton of completely new things to it, which means they would be putting more resources into it

It's NOT the same one Livia uses

The stuff on the station are from last year's Christmas event, we should be getting a new in-game event in the next couple weeks or so, closer to Christmas. They need new stuff to put in the mogstation next year, after all. :3

The current Xmas items on Mogshop is a way for people who didnt do the event last year, or didnt play, the option to get them if they want. They have always added new stuff for current events. If people dont play and do the events while its current, they loose out on their chance to obtain it.
That Reindeer outfit was from the Xmas event in 2012, I got it back then myself as I have been playing nonstop since July 2011

As for the reskin/color Magitek, as long as I feel that the game does not suffer but benefits from the extra income for the vanity stuff, I am fine with it, I bought both.

Like in WOW, I used to buy mounts, pets etc until I saw how little the game had of ingame content, so I boycotted the Blizzard store and never bought anything on it again. And I will do the same with XIV and its Shop if I notice the ingame quality declining etc
8€ for the Magitek mount even if just another color, it did come with its own Mount BGM hehe.
