I don't want to sound selfish, and I hope I'm wrong, but it does look like they are prioritizing mogstation over in-game event rewards.

There is a thing called reddit and a subreddit recruit a friend. At best offer a sum of gil to would-be takers (I offered 500k gil and got 5 persons in a week or so). But it's not necessary. Over about 45 days I got 18 'friends'. And one of them subbed for 90 days because I got my Draught Chocobo. I got Twintania and Amber Draught too, from the first 5.

Yeah, but update history for event rewards has been pretty reliable since 2.0. You can get a real sense of when future patches will be released based on which holiday event items are already in-game, and they've never added to an event they have already put in the game. If it wasn't for Yoshida's comments on 3.15 being before Christmas, I would have expected the 2nd week of January, based on the Heavensturn items being in patch 3.1.

If they DO add new items on top of what they added in 3.1, it'll be a first. I won't be holding my breath.

The items have already been datamined, and the rewards are rather poor to say the least. The chances of them adding new items are very low, the items are always added beforehand.

Don't they use profits from glamour a in the cash shop specifically for the development of new glamour/mounts/minions ingame? I'm for supporting (or at least the choice to support) extra minions and mounts ingame by (maybe) buying a small cash shop item once in a while. It's not like it's a mount lottery system. It's like 2 cups of coffee where I live for a mount with special music.

What are you going on about? Not a charity? Of course it's not. There is no such thing as a 25$ a month mmo even ones without cash shops.

They make money hand over fist just with the subscription. It's plastered allover the Web how the game brought not just this game but SE as a whole out of hot water. This was before they were heavy handed on the cash shop.

Nothing you are saying is based in reality. They would never charge that much ever nor do they remotely require the most at ion to rake in money.

Blame 5he execs who want to bleed customers dry quickly instead of banking on long term sustainable funding from a proper subscription.
